A Brief Introduction.

Welcome to The Woodford Community Players' website. We hope you enjoy browsing through it and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries or are interested in joining our happy band in any capacity whatsoever.

Woodford Community Players were formed over fifty years ago and go from strength to strength. All our productions are staged at the Woodford Community Centre, Chester Road, Woodford, Stockport, Cheshire. There are full stage and dressing room facilities, the auditorium seats 180 and there is a very pleasant lounge and bar area. We currently put on two productions per year in Spring and Autumn. We also have an active social scene, quiz nights, workshops, play readings, outings and theatre trips. Our rehearsal nights are usually Monday and Wednesday and we rehearse at the Church Annexe.

NEW MEMBERS:- Are you interested in joining a drama group? Well, look no further! Woodford Players is just the group for you. We are a friendly and welcoming society. We work hard to put on good productions but have fun and a good social atmosphere at the same time. If you are experienced, or completely new to acting it doesn't matter, a warm welcome awaits you so ring our secretary on 0161 292 2420. We would also welcome with open arms other forms of support in the various “backstage” departments. Set construction, costumes, front of house the list is endless.
